Eagles take flight at Qwest Center

One of the great rock bands of all time are making their way to the Qwest Center as the Eagles will perform in Omaha on Saturday, Nov. 8.

The foursome of Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmitt have made a huge mark on the American music scene during the past three decades. Songs like "One Of These Nights," "Lyin' Eyes" and "The Long Run" have more than stood the test of time over the years and are still staples on classic rock radio stations all over the country.

Each of the band members has had their share of solo success as well. Henley has won several Grammy Awards for his solo work, Frey has made a name for himself with roles in music and movies (you may remember him as the owner of the Arizona Cardinals in "Jerry Maguire"), and Walsh and Schmitt have had solo hits as well.

But they are at their best when they are together in the collective known as the Eagles -- their reunion in 1994 (called "a 14-year vacation" by Frey) was one of the most celebrated reunions in rock and sparked not only a successful live album and tour, but kept the group on the rock scene into the 21st century.

The band has finally released an album of new music, "Long Road Out Of Eden" and is out on tour in support of the album. It's a concert you won't want to miss, so check out the Eagles on Saturday, Nov. 8 with tickets from Ticket Express -- where no event is ever sold out.

Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift at Qwest Center

Two of country music's hottest acts will grace the Qwest Center stage together on Saturday night, headlined by the three-man band known as Rascal Flatts.

Rascal Flatts is out on its "Bob That Head" tour in support of its latest album, "Still Feels Good." The album includes their No. 1 single, "Take Me There" and is sure to get a lot of play when they take the stage on Saturday.

The band was named the Top Vocal Group by the Academy of Country Music, and they have developed quite a following with their high-energy performance that has been a hit all across the country.

Opening the show will be one of the brightest young stars in country music, Taylor Swift, who made a big splash at the Country Music Association awards show earlier this year with her rendition of her latest hit, "Should've Said No." Her new album, "Fearless" is due to hit stores next month.

Don't miss out on a great night of country music -- a few seats are still available to see Rascal Flatts with Taylor Swift right now at Ticket Express -- where no event is ever sold out.

Eagles flying into Omaha Nov. 8

The Eagles are landing.

Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmitt have put out their first album of new music in almost two decades, "Last Road To Eden" and are out on tour in support of this great album. The Eagles will fly into Omaha for a concert at the Qwest Center on Saturday, Nov. 8.

The Eagles rose to fame in the 1970's with their unique blend of California easygoing attitude and rock influence. Rocking songs like "Life In The Fast Lane" and "Already Gone" were mixed in with soaring, poetic ballads like "Lyin' Eyes," "Desperado" and "I Can't Tell You Why."

The band broke up in 1980, but reunited in 1984 for a live TV show that spawned a live album and the "Hell Freezes Over" tour. The band has continued touring but did not get back into the studio until 2007, and their new two-CD set continues their tradition of combining fantastic songwriting with striking lyrics.

They'll play many of their classics -- as well as some solo stuff from each member -- and it will be a show you won't want to miss. Get your tickets to see the Eagles now at Ticket Express -- where no event is ever sold out.

AC/DC to light up Qwest Center

Austrailia has given us kangaroos, Crocodile Dundee and their own brand of football. Their loudest import, however, is a five-man band of guitar-slinging rockers and they're coming to Omaha this January.

AC/DC has been rocking the world for over three decades, and they will be making a stop in Omaha for a concert at the Qwest Center on Thursday, Jan. 15.

The band was formed by guitar-wielding brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, and they first rose to fame in the late 1970's with tracks like "TNT" and "Highway To Hell." But it was the untimely death of lead singer Bon Scott that ultimately drove the band to icon status, and their 1981 release, "Back In Black" -- featuring new lead singer Brian Johnson -- became one of the biggest-selling albums of all time.

Since then the band has gone on to worldwide fame and has been inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Songs like "Thunderstruck" and "Moneytalks" are fan favorites, and the band has just released its first album in almost a decade, "Black Ice."

This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see one of rock's legendary acts, so don't miss out on your chance to see AC/DC in concert. Get your tickets now at Ticket Express -- where no event is ever sold out.

New Kids are back . . . in Omaha

They're ba-a-a-a-a-ack.

Jordan, Jonathan, Joey, Donnie and Danny made all the teen girls scream during their heydey in the 1980's and early 1990's, and they have reunited and will be out on tour when New Kids On The Block hits the stage at Qwest Center in Omaha on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

The quintet that helped set the table for modern-day boy bands had some of their biggest hits during the late 1980's and early 1990's with songs like "The Right Stuff," "Hangin' Tough" and "Step By Step." In the mid 1990's they broke up and went on to different careers, but have recently reunited and are out on tour in support of a new album.

If you remember the days of high-steppin' boys in tight pants, you're going to have a lot of fun reliving the good ol' days with New Kids on the Block. Get your tickets for this great show now at Ticket Express -- where no event is ever sold out.

Volleyball's "Final Four" coming back to Qwest

The top four teams in college volleyball will once again descend upon the Qwest Center for the NCAA Vollyeball Championships Dec. 18-20.

Two years ago, the Nebraska Cornhuskers took advantage of the de facto home-court advantage to win their third NCAA championship, and they look to be in position early on to make a return trip to volleyball's "Final Four" this season. A young and untested team has quickly gotten out to an 8-0 mark and holds the No. 2 ranking in the nation at the present time.

Defending national champion Penn State is one of the teams that could be in Omaha this December, as well as teams like Stanford, USC and Texas -- all of whom opened the season earlier this year at the Qwest Center along with Nebraska at the AVCA Showcase.

Regardless of who earns the trip to Omaha, you won't want to miss out on this great tournament that features the top volleyball talent in the country. Get your tickets for the NCAA Volleyball Championships now at Ticket Express -- where no event is ever sold out.

Metallica set to rock Qwest Center

They are arguably the most influential band of the last quarter-century, and they are set to rock the Qwest Center like none other on Thursday, Nov. 6.

Who are they? In one word -- METALLICA.

California's kings of speed metal have just realeased a new album called "Death Magnetic," and it has already proven to be one of their best efforts ever. Some have compared it to their 1991 "black" album or their 1985 classic "Master of Puppets."

The four-man band of Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo and lead singer James Hetfield will hit the stage with Down as their opening act, and you can count on Metallica to roar through some of their best efforts, including "For Whom The Bell Tolls," "Enter Sandman" and some songs from their new album.

Don't miss out on what should be the show of the year at the Qwest Center. Get your tickets to see Metallica now at Ticket Express -- where no event is ever sold out.

Country and soul coming to Qwest Center

The Qwest Center in Omaha will have a rather unique blend of music stylings filling the arena this October, with some great country music and soulful R&B coming your way.

On Saturday, Oct. 11, two of country music's brightest stars will be on stage together. Rascal Flatts is out on tour in support of their latest CD, "Still Feels Good," and will be joined by opening act Taylor Swift, who is quickly making a name for herself as one of the top young singers in country music.

On Wednesday, Oct. 15, the Qwest Center will be grooving to the soulful sounds of one of the top vocalists in the R&B genre, Mary J. Blige. She is out on her Love Soul Tour and will bring the voice that has won numerous Grammy Awards to Omaha for what should be a great performance.

You can get tickets to these shows -- and many more taking place at the Qwest Center -- right now at Ticket Express -- where no event is ever sold out.

Great concerts coming up during River City Roundup

You can see some great rodeo action and great shows afterward during this year's River City Roundup at the Qwest Center.

The action begins Thursday night, Sept. 25, with rodeo action kicking off at 7 p.m., followed by the country music of Rodney Atkins. Atkins is out on tour in support of his new album, "If You're Going Through Hell" and has earned multiple nominations for awards from the Academy of Country Music.

On Friday night, Sept. 26, the arena will be filled with great rodeo thrills and spills and double-you-over laughter with Nebraska's own Larry The Cable Guy. The unapologetically, unpolitically-correct star of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour will have you rolling in the aisles with his unique brand of humor.

The River City Roundup wraps up Saturday night, Sept. 27, with more great rodeo action and America's pop-turned-country blonde bombshell, Jessica Simpson. The former pop star and current girlfriend of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is out on tour in support of her first country album, "Do You Know" and will put on a great performance to close out the annual event.

Get your tickets for these great shows -- and many more coming to the Qwest Center -- now at Ticket Express -- where no event is ever sold out.

Metallica, Neil Young to perform at Qwest

Two more rock legends are set to shake the foundations of the Qwest Center with back-to-back concerts this November.

On Wednesday, Nov. 5, the great Neil Young will hit the stage, with Death Cab for Cutie serving as the opening act. Young was one of the founding members of 60's legends Buffalo Springfield and was a part of the classic team of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young that hit big in the 1970's with songs like "Ohio." Young continues his work as a solo artist and should put on a tremendous show that should not be missed.

The following night, the rafters will get a good dusting off at the Qwest Center with the loud, crunching thrash metal sounds of Metallica. The four-man band from California is releasing a new album, "Death Magnetic" and will be out on tour in support of the album. Down will be the opening act for what should be a loud, physically-demanding performance.

The fall concert season is ready to kick into gear, and you can get tickets for all the great upcoming shows at the Qwest Center now at Ticket Express -- where no event is ever sold out.
