Legend Roger Waters Plays Tonight

Former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters will be performing at the Qwest Center tonight.  He is known for putting on great live shows such as his famous Wall concert in Berlin which celebrated the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Waters was a founding member of Pink Floyd and after the departure of Syd Barrett became the main songwriter for the legendary band.  Waters plays the bass guitar and is known for writing songs that feature the bass as the lead guitar.

Waters also wrote all of the lyrics for Pink Floyd's most famous albums The Wall and The Dark Side of the Moon and was the driving force behind the concepts the albums. Waters is considered a legend in many music circles because he introduced the psychedelic feel to rock music but still kept to his rock and roll roots.

An Evening With Roger Waters Will Rock the Qwest

Roger Waters will come to Omaha on Friday to play at the Qwest Center.  The first half of his show will include hits from his former band Pink Floyd as well as some solo material recorded after the break up of Pink Floyd in 1985.  The second half of the show on Friday will feature Waters playing Pink Floyd's signature album Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety.

Waters is known for putting on a great show full of theatrics and sound effects to keep the show interesting.  Look for colorful displays behind the band during the show as well as the famous floating Pink Floyd pig who has recently been spotted flying around the crowd at shows.  The show will also feature speakers all around the stadium to achieve the 360 degree sound effects Waters is famous for.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Baily Circus Clowns Around In Omaha

At one point in time the Ringling Brothers, James Baily, and P.T. Barnum all had their own circus.  But that was in the 1800's!  Since 1919 the three circuses have combined to form what they describe as the "giant of all exhibitions."  Get your tickets to this years "giant of all exhibitions" which is coming to Omaha to perform at the Qwest Center this Friday.

The circus is one of the most celebrated traditions in American culture and its roots date back to ancient times.  This circus is known for having extravagant stunts, exotic animals, and of course clowns.  Look for a fresh format this year as the shows producers have promised some new surprises for this years show.

Tim McGraw Will Debut New Material in Omaha

Tim McGraw will have a chance to debut some fresh material from his newest album today as he kicks off his Soul2Soul tour at the Qwest Center.

McGraw released his newest album Let It Go last month which reached the #1 spot on Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart.  McGraw is expected to play his old favorites and also some of his new material including the single "Last Dollar (Fly Away)."

Many fans will be hoping for McGraw to perform the unexpected new hit song "If You're Reading This" which he co-wrote with The Warren Brothers.  McGraw and The Warren Brothers performed the song at this years Country Music Awards as a tribute to fallen soldiers in Iraq.  It is a very emotional song and is the 35th most played song on country music radio stations at the moment.

Soul2Soul Tour rides through Omaha

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will be performing their popular Soul2Soul tour at the Qwest Center June 6th and 7th.  The Soul2Soul tour started in 2000 shortly after McGraw and Hill got married and the two both released successful albums including Hill's multi-platinum Breathe. 

The tour has gained high praise for its unique circular stage positioned in the middle of the arena floor with catwalks extending in to the crowd. 

The show consists of three parts.  First, Faith Hill performs a set of songs, then McGraw performs a set of songs.  The third portion of the show is a set of duets performed by both of the performers.  The duets are mostly love songs and are said to end the show perfectly.

The Soul2Soul tour is a must see for country music fans and would make a great date for that special someone.
