March will be an interesting month for concerts at the Qwest Center in Omaha.
The concert docket opens Friday, March 7 when Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood bring their "Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Carnival Ride" tour to town. Urban will work the audience with his good looks and abundant musical chops, and look for him to play a variety of gutiars as he pours through some of his best songs.
Urban wil be joined by Underwood, the former American Idol champion who has put out two tremendously-successful CD's, including her latest called "Carinval Ride." Reviews of recent concerts have been very good, so expect a great show when Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood perform at the Qwest Center on Friday, March 7.
The following Friday, one of the legends of rock will get people on their feet at the Qwest Center as Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band perform on Friday, March 14.
"The Boss" has evolved into one of the great singer-songerwriters of all time, and his live shows have been legendary not only for their length, but for the amount of energy poured out by Springsteen and his band. It will be a walk down memory line with classics such as "Born To Run" and "Glory Days," and look for Springsteen to sprinkle in some newer material like "Radio Nowhere" on this tour. Make sure the babysitter can stay late, because you're in for a long, wonderful journey when Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band hit the Qwest Center on Friday, March 14.
Closing out the month will be one of the more entertaining and colorful trios in the entertainment industry. Blue Man Group brings their entertaining, high-energy percussion show to the Qwest Center on Sunday, March 30.
The traveling ensemble's "How To Be A Megastar Tour 2.1" program is a combination of percussive precision and get-on-your-feet raw energy that will have fans standing, jumping and rocking like never before. Backed by an eight-piece band, the bright blue-faced threesome will mix music, comedy and energy into what will be a lot of fun and well worth the price of admission for Blue Man Group's performance at the Qwest Center on Sunday, March 30.
